And here we are again. So much has happened this month. I started March with a Think Week, similar to what Bill Gates does twice a year (learn more here). I read a couple of books, listened to many podcasts, did some long walks on the beach, and thought about life. No epiphanies! Just an opportunity to step away from my day-to-day life and expand my horizons. I highly recommend it. I am already planning a second one for July.
One of the best parts of my first Think Week was to finally start going through the Decision-Making syllabus I created at the end of 2021. I made a list of books, articles, reports, and podcasts on making better decisions. I wish I had done this ten years ago. What we do with our lives is a consequence of our choices. Knowing how to minimize screwups is critical.
“It is remarkable how much long-term advantage people like us have gotten by trying to be consistently not stupid, instead of trying to be very intelligent.”
~ Charlie Munger
I am thinking about making my Decision-Making syllabus public. Let me know if you want to access it.

As you know, since January, I’ve been down the Web3 rabbit hole. I’m getting deeper and deeper, and I believe I have finally found my space. #DeSci or Decentralized Science has vast potential because academia and the way science is made are in dire need of disruption. A great place to start exploring is this tweet:
That being said, let’s now focus on my favorite content from March:
[Doing Life] Examples of barbell strategies
[Longevity] Longevity FAQ: A beginner's guide to longevity research
[New Institutions] 30 new institutions that need to be created
[Learning & Web3] Learning, Earning, and Web3 Part II
[Books] Decisive by Dan and Heath Cheap & Predictable Irrational by Dan Ariely
And that’s it for this month. Please share with me your favorite reads and leave comments, so we can keep the discussion going.
Have a great month,
Inês
P.S. I want to connect with Portuguese-based big companies with a strong focus on contributing to the Sustainable Development Goals. If you know any, please connect me with them. Happy to provide more details.
