#7 Reads for Today
Monthly compilation of my reads and learning from around the web
Welcome back! Am I the only one that didn’t notice June passing by? I spent last month thinking it was still May. Weird 🤔!
But then, I had the chance to stop and listen to the grass grow.
I just returned from my second Think Week (Calling it a week might be pushing it. In total I spent 36 hours away), which was great. This time I was prepared. I had a list of things I wanted to go through. Books and articles to read, and big ideas to think about. And I was successful.
I re-read Meditations by Marcus Aurelius, read Courage is Calling by Ryan Holiday, did a mid-year review, and read dozens of articles on decision-making. And the big win: I cut many unnecessary things from my life. I took the intentional step of simplifying my work life: fewer projects, fewer distractions, and more focus. In a few months, I’ll know how successful I’ve been.

Here’s my favorite content from June:
[Productivity] Pmarca Guide to Personal Productivity
[Favourite new blog] On learning, deliberate practice, and all the topics I care about
[Ambition] Remaining Ambitious
I’m taking some time off and pausing this newsletter. I want to spend the next months, reading, learning, resting, and exercising. I’m forcing myself to take things slowly. I’ll probably be back in September.
In the meantime, for more book recommendations, check my Goodreads Profile.
Have a great Summer,
Inês
